I am now taking preorders for the next edition of the Complete Baseball Encyclopedia. The next edition of the encyclopedia has many new features and will be the best edition yet.

The new features include:

  • Extensive new sorting options
  • Postseason stats are now included
  • The ability to mix postseason and regular season stats (no, not that Ruth would have 729 HR (714 regular season + 15 World Series). I mean the ability, for example, to list all of the 400 HR leaders, who also have 10+ HR in the World Series)
  • Year by year league leaders will now also include team by team leaders, position by position leaders, etc
  • League averages will now be park adjusted
  • Rookies leader lists can be generated
  • The ability to list every season meeting a particular criteria has been added, either single seasons, careers, increment of years
  • In addition to single season/career totals, lists can be based on any increment from 2-10 years (examples: most HR over a 8 year span, every Tigers hits leader for every 5 year increment from 1900-04 to 2011-14, every Yankees pitcher with 1000 SO over a 10 year span)
  • Leader lists for the most teams achieving a feat with, either single season, career or time span (examples: most teams hitting 100 HR with, most teams with a 30 HR season with, most teams hitting 100 HR over a 4 year span with)
  • Leaders lists for most players on a team achieving X critieria (example: most players hitting 40 HR for a team in a season)

The new edition will be released during the 2014 postseason. I am shooting for a release before the end of the Division Series.

Additionally, I will coming out with 3 more ebooks on the 2014 season. Details about that will come later in September.
